Upon arrival at the trailhead you will stretch, pose for a group picture and then hike in to the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains. After a challenging hike you will arrive at the lower of the three Bushnell Lakes and set up camp, there you will prepare a delicious and well deserved hot meal and revel in your accomplishment and the cameraderie of women like you in the shadow of Bushnell Peak and the sound of the stream flowing next to the camp site.

You will get an opportunity to attempt a climb of the challenging Bushnell Peak, summit 13,110 feet above sea level. Then you will pack up camp and hike back down to the car and drive to the river base where you will camp in preparation for a full day raft trip tomorrow.
You will go rafting on the Arkansas River's exciting Bighorn Sheep Canyon in the morning and then the hardcore Royal Gorge in the afternoon with a full lunch in between. After this full day you will get back in the vehicles and head back to Denver via Buena Vista and the beautiful collegiate peaks.
